Job Description:
As the Housekeeping Inspector at The Nicewonder Inn, you will play a vital role in ensuring our rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. With at least 2 years of housekeeping room attendant experience and 1 year as a housekeeping inspector, you will use your keen eye for detail to uphold our commitment to luxury and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to established standards.
- Provide feedback and guidance to housekeeping staff to ensure consistent quality and improvement in cleaning practices and procedures.
- Assist in training and onboarding new housekeeping staff, ensuring they understand and adhere to our high standards.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or discrepancies to the maintenance department and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and report findings to the Housekeeping Director.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure timely turnover of guest rooms and readiness for new arrivals.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns related to room cleanliness and amenities, providing prompt and courteous service.
- Uphold and promote the standards and policies of The Nicewonder Inn, ensuring a welcoming and pristine environment for all guests.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a housekeeping room attendant and 1 year of experience as a housekeeping inspector, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and work collaboratively with the housekeeping team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
