Job Description:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the accounting department as well as many other aspects of the company in order to assist the Corporate Controller in providing timely and accurate financial data, while demonstrating a high level of professionalism.  Expereince in the Food and Beverage Industry Highly desired.

Responsible For:

· Overseeing the accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll departments

· Assisting with the financial monthly close

· Assisting with inventory management

· Product line pricing

· Preparing monthly bank reconciliations

· Approving ACH/wire payments

· Approving weekly & semi-monthly payrolls

· Approving purchase order requisitions

· Approving expense reports

· ERP systems management and reporting

· Updating and implementing processes and procedures

· 401k administration

· Assisting with general and group insurance

· Internal and external audits

· Maintaining orderly filing system for general journals and other accounting documents in accordance with the file retention policy

· Assisting with related special projects, as required

Minimum Training, Education and Experience Requirements:

· Associates/Bachelor’s degree required

· Minimum 5 years experience necessary

· Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or similar software is preferred

· Intermediate knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook is necessary

· Able to effectively interface with internal and external customers

· Must be able to handle confidential information with maximum discretion

· Able to understand business principles and apply them accordingly

· Able to work independently and on a team within a fast-paced environment

· Demonstrate good judgment while managing projects, multi-tasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines with a sense of urgency

· Detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and proactive

· Excellent interpersonal/presentation skills

· Excellent written/verbal communication skills

· High level of accountability and flexibility

· High level of self-confidence, professional grooming and demeanor, positive, self-starter and high degree of emotional stamina

Travel to other Wright Group locations will be required.

Experience:


  • Microsoft Dynamics GP: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Corporate accounting: 5 years (Required)


License/Certification:


  • CPA -desired
