What You’ll Do:
As the Assistant Construction Superintendent, you will:
- Inspect and oversee active construction projects.
- Ensure newly installed mains are properly disinfected and tested.
- Prepare cost estimates and oversee construction drawings and permit applications.
- Manage material requisitions and coordinate deliveries.
- Maintain accurate financial records in collaboration with accounting personnel.
- Supervise and support assigned construction department personnel.
- Be available for occasional evening, night, and weekend work as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Candidates should have 3-5 years of related experience, preferably involving in utility construction involving potable water mains and services.
- Certifications: Valid PA driver’s license and ability to obtain a Pennsylvania Class E Water System Operator License within one year of hire.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential for this role, as is an understanding of construction management, inspection, bidding, and contract administration.
