Summer Theatre Education Assistant Description

Be part of the fun and important work of teaching live theatre in Northern Arizona. This position will:

· Supervise and oversee daily weekday camps during the summer. This will include but not be limited to planning and day-to-day administration of our weekly days camps.

· Manage camp volunteers, assist with their training and coaching as well as directing the campers.

· Being in charge of the allocated budget, as well as ordering camp equipment, supplies and refreshments.

· Ensuring safe practices and a healthy safe educational environment.

· Keeping records and documenting processes.

· Interacting with Theatre staff, Box Office staff, parents, camp volunteers and campers. Communicating wisdom, understanding, humor, and humility as each interaction may require.

Requirements

Required:

• Classroom education experience with young children

• Theatre experience

• Bright, positive attitude

Location

Theatrikos is located in downtown Flagstaff, Arizona. This job is on-sight throughout the summer.

Hours/Compensation

This is a full time seasonal position, 40 hours/week. Compensation commiserate with experience and education with hours typically Monday—Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. 8 weeks, May 28—June 16 and July 3—August 4 salary as independent contractor $6500.
