As an Account Executive, you will drive new business by identifying prospects, setting appointments, and closing accounts within your territory. You'll build lasting relationships with customers while recruiting talented candidates to fill critical positions in schools.
Position Responsibilities & Duties:
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities with school districts and charter schools through networking, emails, and cold calling.
- Build long-term customer relationships, set appointments, and close sales.
- Manage new accounts, fulfill requisitions, and recruit candidates for open positions.
- Cultivate multiple relationships within each account to expand services.
- Navigate the sales process and influence high-level decision-makers.
- Maintain expert knowledge of Point Quest's solutions and effectively position them against competitors.
- Prepare and deliver strategic sales presentations.
- Develop a strategic plan to achieve sales goals.
- Keep accurate records in CRM (Salesforce) and produce sales forecasts.
- Manage travel and expense budgets.
- Handle Request for Proposal (RFP) submissions.
- Continuously develop knowledge of Point Quest's offerings and industry trends.
Performance Objectives & Goals:
- Meet or exceed sales quotas for your assigned territory.
- Prospect through emails, cold calls, and conferences.
- Collaborate with clients throughout the sales process to provide tailored solutions.
- Recruit qualified candidates via platforms like LinkedIn, really, and regional/state sites.
- Drive the process from recruitment to onboarding and ongoing support.
- Present solutions in-person, over the phone, or virtually as needed.
- Communicate effectively with sales, support teams, and management.
- Maintain an up-to-date and accurate pipeline in Salesforce.
- Manage customers at all stages of the sales cycle, from prospecting to renewal.
- Participate in weekly sales coaching sessions.
Minimum Skills & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in K12 Special Education or related services (SLP, OT, PT) is highly preferred.
- 2 years of sales experience, including outbound calls, presentations, and email/social media outreach.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar).
- Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent time management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong computer knowledge and understanding of basic technology.
- Ability to adopt a consultative sales approach and match customer needs with Point Quest solutions.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, able to manage multiple tasks.
- 50% travel required within the assigned territory.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Positive customer service attitude, strong communication skills, and excellent punctuality.
