Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cytotechnologist to join our team. The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for examining cell samples under a microscope to diagnose and detect abnormalities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical laboratory science and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Examine cell samples under a microscope to identify abnormalities
- Prepare cell samples for analysis using various staining techniques
- Consult with pathologists to determine appropriate diagnostic procedures
- Maintain accurate records of all samples and test results
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and procedures
- Stay current on advances in cytotechnology and attend continuing education courses
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or a related field
- Certification as a Cytotechnologist by ASCP or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
