Job Description:

This Blue Home Interior Design (TBH) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to join our growing team on a part-time contractor basis. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for design, strong organizational skills, and an interest in supporting the operational and procurement side of interior design projects.

You’ll assist with vendor management, purchasing, and tracking, while contributing to the smooth execution of client projects. Social media management experience is a plus, as you’ll also help maintain TBH’s online presence.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing and Procurement Support:

• Place, track, and manage orders with vendors and suppliers for furniture, decor, and project materials.

• Request quotes/estimates from vendors and distribute them to relevant team members, including designers and contractors.

• Ensure timely communication and follow-ups with vendors regarding order statuses,

deliveries, and any discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and timelines to ensure projects

remain on schedule.

Project Coordination:

• Assist with tracking project selections and updating team members on progress.

• Maintain organized documentation for all projects, ensuring final selections are

comprehensive and accessible for builders, contractors, and clients.

• Help prepare detailed project binders or reports to streamline client presentations and

installations.

General Administrative Support:

• Manage data entry related to projects, including client details, product specifications, and timelines.

• Organize and maintain an up-to-date materials library and vendor database.

Social Media Assistance (Preferred):

• Help manage TBH’s social media accounts, including scheduling posts, engaging with

followers, and sharing project updates.

• Provide creative input and ideas for social media content that aligns with TBH’s brand.

Qualifications:

• Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors,

clients, and team members.

• Experience with purchasing, procurement, or vendor coordination is a plus.

• Proficiency in basic data entry and the ability to learn new systems or software quickly.

• Interest in or knowledge of interior design or home furnishings is preferred but not required.

• Social media experience (managing platforms such as Instagram or Pinterest) is a bonus.
