Job Title: HIM Clerk III Special Studies
Primary Function:
The HIM Clerk III Special Studies is responsible for organizing, retrieving, and replicating medical records in the context of special studies, regulatory inquiries, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve and reproduce medical records with high accuracy and efficiency
- Analyze and evaluate lists of requested records to ensure compliance and quality
- Utilize Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to support daily tasks
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Minimum 1 year of clerical experience in a large academic medical center health information department or comparable setting
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team to achieve goals
