Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations in a medical office environment. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for medical staff.
- Conduct insurance verification and assist patients with insurance-related questions.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient visits.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize medical office management software such as Medims for record keeping and appointment scheduling.
- Assist with coding and billing processes as needed.
- Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical/ dental office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and documentation review is highly desirable.
- Proficient typing skills to manage data entry efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes is a plus.
- Experience with dental office management software is advantageous.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with patients and staff.
