Responsibilities
- Culinary Leadership: Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation and presentation of authentic Mexican cuisine that meets our high-quality standards.
- Menu Development: Design and implement innovative menus that showcase traditional Mexican flavors with a modern twist, catering to diverse customer preferences.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain consistency in food preparation and presentation, upholding all recipes, portioning, and plating guidelines.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock assessments, and oversee ordering to ensure cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
- Cost Management: Monitor food and labor costs, implementing strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining excellence in culinary offerings.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, promoting a safe and clean kitchen environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with front-of-house management to synchronize kitchen operations with service delivery, enhancing the overall guest experience.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, incorporating new techniques and ingredients to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience in New Restaurant Openings (NRO): Demonstrated success in launching and establishing new restaurant ventures, ensuring seamless kitchen operations from day one.
- Expertise in Authentic Mexican Cuisine: Extensive experience with established Mexican restaurant brands, showcasing deep knowledge of traditional and contemporary Mexican culinary techniques and flavors.
- Exceptional Organizational Skills: Ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently, with meticulous attention to detail in both culinary execution and administrative tasks.
- Bilingual Proficiency Preferred: Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable, facilitating effective communication with a diverse team and clientele.
- Comprehensive Food Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety standards, ingredient sourcing, and culinary trends to maintain high-quality offerings.
- High-Volume Restaurant Experience: Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-demand kitchen environments, maintaining consistency and excellence during peak service times.
