Job Summary
The Senior Accounts Payable Associate will direct the processing of invoices and payments, manage expense accounts and budget reports. Also, highlights the day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner while working in collaboration with various departments.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Also, highlights the day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner while working in collaboration with various departments.
Supervisory Responsibilities

- Assists in maintaining accurate and complete accounts payable SOP’s and vendor related files.
- Prepares and process invoices, processes AP checks and ACH payments, and tracks all payment information and money movement in the company system.
- Enters high-volume PO invoices and performs 3-way matching process.
- Enters & codes high-volume non-PO invoices based on Thompson Safety accounting policies.
- Prepares and reviews routine & requested monthly accounts payable reports.
- Interfaces with the Purchasing & Operations teams in a professional and diligent manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- 5 years of progressive accounts payable experience.
- Strong foundation in general accounting principles and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in work and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask while remaining collaborative and team oriented.
- Proficient in relevant AP technology systems and Microsoft office products.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, talking on the phone, attending virtual online meetings, and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
