We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Property Manager to join Thompson Thrift’s commercial property management team. What You’ll Do as a Property Manager:
- Oversee the daily management of a diverse commercial real estate portfolio, ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Work closely with support teams to effectively generate and execute assignments.
- Conduct detailed inspections and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
- Manage operating expense reconciliations, utility billings, and tenant correspondence.
- Work closely with commercial tenants during tenant improvements of their lease space with construction coordination efforts.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to prioritize and process work orders and associated billings accurately.
- Communicate regularly with senior leaders about at-risk accounts, property deficiencies, and capital improvement needs.
- Approve material and service requirements within budget limits and manage vendor relationships.
- Actively participate in team development, and goal-setting activities.
- Track critical date targets as it relates to commercial deliveries of spaces and rent commencements
Our Ideal Candidate for this Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications from organizations like ICSC, BOMA, or IREM are a plus.
- At least 4 years of experience as a commercial/retail portfolio or property manager.
- Travel required via airplane, overnight travel on occasion.
- Requires on call and after hour flexibility
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and professionally.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant tools.
- Experience with Yardi is preferred.
- Experience reading construction drawings a plus.
- Experience in interpretating legal documents and commercial leases.
- Organizational Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
