The Concord Public Schools is seeking a long-term substitute (LTS) to fill the position of lead teacher of students with moderate to severe special needs for a district-wide, self-contained, elementary classroom for students with global language, cognitive and social deficits requiring a full day program with ABA supports as necessary.
The successful candidate will be able to modify the elementary standards as appropriate and integrate skills based instruction into the daily program. Supervision of paraprofessionals is required as well as collaboration with OT, PT, Speech and BCBA in order to provide a cohesive program. Experience with ABA programs is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. A bachelor's degree and an appropriate Massachusetts teaching license are required (severe special needs); a master's degree is preferred.
