As a key member of the Thrive Freeze Dry team, the EHSS Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to employee safety, food safety and quality, and will be able to demonstrate excellence in the workplace.
The EHSS Supervisor will work closely with operations teams, quality, and maintenance departments to evaluate work processes and safety needs and practices. This includes developing site-specific safety initiatives and leading corporate safety initiatives to ensure safe manufacturing processes.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, safety management, or a similar field.
- At least 3 years' experience in food manufacturing, with examples of demonstrated excellence in the workplace.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to apply interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Comfortable training groups of employees in a classroom or on the production floor.
- Ability to engage with individuals respectfully and collaboratively, exercising sound judgment.
- Establish and maintain healthy relationships with internal teams, vendors, contractors, and governing agencies.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
