Description
The Human Resources Representative provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department in all areas including training, communications, benefits, recruitment, and labor relations. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “ELITE” company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
2. Process Team Member queries and respond in a timely manner including answering phones and greeting Team Members and all visitors to the department.
3. Initiate pre-employment drug testing and notify the department of the results.
4. Schedule applicants for Tribal Gaming Agency appointments.
5. Sort and distribute mail.
6. Prepare letters and memoranda, and perform other projects as needed for the Vice President of Human Resources.
7. Maintain Team Members' personnel files and termination files.
8. Assist in processing out terminated Team Members. Mails out checks via certified mail.
9. Ensure the forms supply is fully stocked and available to Team Members as needed.
10. Assist new hire Team Members with paperwork for orientation class.
11. Send necessary information for unemployment claims to unemployment representatives.
12. Provide updated information to Tribal Gaming Agency, including, but not limited to, terminations, new hires and transfers.
13. Prepare copies and assembles materials for training, benefits, and other projects as needed.
14. Alphabetize and file all Team Member paperwork located in the file room.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Experience working in an office environment is required. Experience in a Human Resources environment is preferred.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and management in both written and verbal form.
4. Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
6. Ability to work a variety of shifts in order to cover for co-workers and meet the needs of the department.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks and establish priorities effectively.
8. Ability to utilize critical-thinking skills in order to work independently and make decisions without direct supervision.
9. Must be at least 21 years of age.
10. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
2. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
3. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
4. Must be able to sit for the duration of shift.
5. Ability to view a computer monitor for duration of shift.
6. Ability to stoop, crouch, and kneel.
