Quality Supervisor Position Overview

As a Quality Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the quality control systems to ensure the production of high-quality products. Your role involves overseeing the entire spectrum of quality assurance processes, from establishing standards and protocols to conducting inspections and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Quality Supervisor Essential Functions

• Analyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning performance of the Quality System to management.
• Directs multi-disciplinary teams for product quality planning, corrective action, and continuous improvement activities.
• Determines personnel and resource needs for quality assurance program.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned.
  
  
  

Quality Supervisor Required Experience

• Proven experience 6-10 years in quality
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions quickly.
• Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables at the same time.
• Ability to analyze and interpret standards, procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to effectively present written and verbal information to management, customers, subcontractors, and employees.
• Ability to write procedures, reports, and correspondence.
• Ability to understand production processes and their effect on product quality.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, design of experiments.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics to practical quality control situations.
  
  
  

Quality Supervisor Physical Demands and Work Environment

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
• Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and hear.
• Ability to use hand tools.
