Tidewater Trim and Deck is a leading provider of high-quality decks and fences in the Tidewater area and Currituck, NC. Our company has been in business for 38 years. Originally founded by the father, the business is now run by his son and his wife. The son works full-time at his career job, and the wife owns her own business, so we are searching for a lot of help to keep operations running smoothly.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a professional and organized individual to serve as the first point of contact for our customers and provide administrative support to our team to keep things moving. The ideal candidate will be friendly, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This job has the opportunity to be REMOTE with FLEXIBLE hours for the right candidate and schedule. At this time the job does not have a set schedule or guaranteed weekly hours, but can provide this for the right candidate. The schedule as of right now will be part time, but does have the opportunity to grow into a full time job as more responsibilities are given to this administrator.
Responsibilities:
- Answer all phone calls in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings between the owner, the crew, and the clients
- Maintain organized electronic filing systems using HoneyBook (no experience needed)
- Process incoming and outgoing emails, and the occasional mail
- Keep track of jobs and projects, ensuring the owner stays on top of all tasks and handling as many tasks yourself as possible
- Following up with customers daily to ensure no issues or delays have occurred, and follow up after the project for a review
- Submitting and logging MISS UTILITY tickets (no experience needed)
- Assist with social media posting and/or advertising as needed
- Most work will be remote, but occasional in-person days may be required for organizing files or visiting job sites (in VA and NC) to take photos for social media (preferred but not required); Some in person days may be required at the office to provide supplies to the crew
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role with construction or marketing preferred (not required)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Experience with HoneyBook or other CRM software is a plus (not required)
