Tilt is seeking an Information Technology Specialist who has a strong desire to learn and take part in our information security systems. The IT Specialist will report directly to our Technology leader and help in the overall function of IT support as well as in the implementation of our IT security and structure.

Responsibilities
- Manage the company’s Help Desk support
- Collaborate with members of the Technology team to ensure all goals are met and that we are carrying out best practices
- Receive and distribute IT equipment while maintaining ongoing relationships with vendors
- Oversee the inventory management system to track all company equipment
- Work with external support vendors as needed in support of tech priorities
- Assist with technical support installation and maintenance of the company network and related devices
- Other duties as assigned
- Willing to take on a wide range of roles and responsibilities and looking to advance in a growing company.
- 3 years of related experience; prior supervisory experience would be a positive
- Experience with Microsoft Office administration
- Prior IT security experience is a positive
- An effective communicator who can present information to all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate technical challenges into plain English as they assist in a heavily creative environment.
- Good understanding of network technologies and basic protocols
- Basic knowledge of how security is implemented in networking equipment and on various platforms; knowledge should include an understanding of firewalls, packet filtering, routers, and security mechanisms implemented in various operating systems
- Exposure to and understanding of various security technologies, including remote access systems, strong authentication techniques, encryption, and digital certificates
- A positive and helpful attitude.
- Communicates effectively by developing and delivering communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
- Works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
- Someone whose success is driven by ensuring the success of their team and the company
- Optimizes work processes and seeks to close inefficiencies and gaps to maximize efficiency of workflows
- Eager to learn and advance by taking on new roles and responsibilities.
- Ability to work on-site in Richmond, VA for 3-5 days/week
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance
- Ability to crawl into tight spaces and climb a ladder up to 6 feet
