COMMERCIAL ROOFING – PROJECT MANAGER
Job Description
Title: Project Foreman
Reports To: President
Responsibilities:
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of materials needed
- Load & unload necessary equipment and materials
- Be able to install commercial roofing materials – insulation, membrane, edge metal, and other general carpentry items.
- Communicate with other team members to ensure accuracy of tasks
- Consult with clients, vendors, internal employees, subcontractors, architects, and anyone needed to prepare project estimates
- Review/analyze drawings, specifications, and project sites to understand the scope of the project.
- Help schedule work as needed once project is awarded
- Ensure subcontractors are maintaining their project duties and scheduling them appropriately
- Communicate with suppliers and customers in person
- Ensure site personnel are provided with proper documentation related to each project
- Work with and resolve concerns of field personnel related to the project scope.
- Other responsibilities and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Five years previous experience as a commercial roofer (hands-on experience)
- Preferable if familiar with installation of the Duro-Last PVC Roofing system
- Excellent understanding of low-slope roofing techniques and installation methods
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail is required.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Must be a strong communicator and relatable to all types of internal & external customers.
- Should be able to demonstrate an ability to take initiative and make decisions independently.
- Must provide one’s own tools such as hammer, tool belt, drills, etc in addition to company tools
- Ability to lift at least 35 pounds and work at heights
- Punctual arriving on time to work and at projects each day
- Builder’s license is not required but is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
