What are the responsibilities and job description for the Art Studio Materials Prep Support position at Tinker Art Studio?
Enjoy working in Tinker's sunny, inspiring studio space! This is a great way to get to know our studio, and while this is a temporary position, we often have ongoing or future roles for people who are a great fit with our team.
Position Overview
The purpose of this role is to prepare materials for our large Summer Art Camp programming so that Tinker Art Studio students have access to high quality art materials and supplies, and have a successful summer camp experience with us.
It is your responsibility to maintain a high level of organization of the supplies. You will need to have excellent organizational skills, and a high level of attention to detail, while being able to work quickly and efficiently.
This is a temporary role from April 1st - May 8th, for approximately 5 hours a day, 10am - 3pm, Tuesday - Thursday. Two positions are available.
This role includes but is not limited to:
Prepping art supplies: The vast majority of this role will be spent preparing art materials for our Summer Camps. Camps include themes like Puppy Camp, Fashion Design Camp, Rainbows & Unicorns, Rocks & Crystals, Swifties Camp, and lots more super fun camps :) When complete, all summer camp materials will be prepped based on the number of students attending each camp. Examples include: cutting paper on the paper cutter, cutting ribbons or fabric, organizing paints, and lots more art material prepping!
Organizing art supplies: All the materials that are prepped need to be highly organized and accessible for Tinker team members to quickly and easily get out the materials that they need each camp day. We use clear plastic labeled bins to organize materials by camp and by location. Bins are stored in our on-site storage at our South Boulder Studio. You’ll need great organization skills to complete this task! When complete, all prepped materials will be clearly organized in labeled bins.
Lifting and moving art supplies: This role includes lifting and moving art supplies, up to 50 lbs. For example, loading bins onto a rolling cart, moving them to storage, and unloading them onto storage shelves.
