Job Title: Part-Time Human Resource Generalist
The Opportunity:
In this position, you will lead our efforts in developing and managing our Human Resource Department.
- Maintains the company up to date on new laws and regulations pertaining to the workplace
- Renews Corporate permits and licenses
- Maintains Employee records
- Posts updated labor law posters and OSHA form 300 as required by law.
- Processes new hire documentation promptly.
- Reports terminations and/ or cancel coverages, alarm codes, fuel cards and software access promptly.
- Manages mandatory annual workplace harassment training for all employees.
- Manage Employee training and certifications renewals
- Tracks employee hours worked, attendance and vacation time.
- Handles Department of Transportation compliance and recordkeeping
- Issues disciplinary Reports
- Communicates new policies and procedures to all departments
- Maintains the handbook up to date and issues updates to employees
- Enforces company policies and promotes a positive company culture
- Manages safety policies
- Tracks and updates certificate of insurance forms for all vendors, scrap haulers, freight carriers, tire dealers, truck rentals, and temporary personnel agencies.
- Handles Staffing Agencies and temporary employee hours and requests
- Handles recruiting
- Renews Vehicle Registrations and Insurance
- Other duties as assigned.
Benefit Handling
- Holds Open Enrollment for employee benefits annually.
- Meets with employees as they become eligible for company benefit plans.
- Extends COBRA coverage when required
Retirement Plan
- Manage Company Retirement Plan recordkeeping and compliance
- Distributes plan Notices
- Distributes required documentation for terminated employees with account balances.
- Processes documentation for Withdrawals, rollovers or other employee requests.
Insurance
- Oversee the selection of all Company insurance plans and employee benefits alongside the CEO and Controller. Performs all recordkeeping requirements for compliance of the plans. Ensures all company insurance policies have sufficient coverage levels, affordable premiums, and are placed with reputable agents and carriers. Plans include health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, general liability, short term disability, workers compensation insurance, and retirement plan.
- Investigates, files, and monitors all workers’ compensation claims as needed.
- Handles insurance claims
- Handles employee injuries, accidents and incidents.
- Maintains the Driver’s list up to date for insurance purposes

We are seeking an experienced professional (minimum of 3 years of experience) to join our team as a part-time Human Resource Manager. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with experience overseeing Insurance plans, maintaining corporate compliance, company policies and an amazing team support attitude.

Other Information and How to Apply:
Salary: $40,000 to $45,000 per year. The schedule would be 25 hours a week. Monday- Friday. The job will be on-site at the corporate site in North Aurora, IL.
