Job Summary
We are seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our real estate and T&E law firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to learn, good organizational and clerical skills and the ability to work well with others. This position requires the use of word processing and other office-based applications for document preparation and billing. The Legal Assistant/Paralegal will support our attorneys in pre-closing and post-closing real estate tasks as well as with the drafting and finalizing of estate plan documents and probate court filings. Our practice is thriving and we pride ourselves on excellent client relations so the ideal candidate will be able to remain personable and respectful during busy times.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with real estate closing document preparation and file management.
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and finalization of estate planning/probate documents and court filings.
- Keep well-maintained files, both in physical and electronic formats.
- Be proactive and eager to learn.
- Support the legal team in managing deadlines and whatever else may come up.
- Be a positive point of contact with clients and court personnel.
Requirements
- Experience in professional office setting.
- Strong clerical and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in various computer skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
