TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Regional Safety Manager in Irvine, CA and supporting the Central region.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with current OSHA and TKE site specific safety requirements and programs, by providing technical safety direction and management to support safety program and injury prevention efforts
- Coordinate projects safety and accident prevention programs for the overall district, local branch and regional safety initiatives
- Ensure consistency in training and documentation, train new managers, conduct safety inspections at facilities and jobsites
- Produce reports and recommendations based on inspections findings
- Attend subcontractor orientations
- Assist in accident and property investigation reporting
- Participate in daily, weekly and monthly meetings, complete safety reports and ensure all required field training is up to date and compliant with OSHA and Corporate
- Other responsibilities include, but not limited to; Worker’s Compensation, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place and perform all other duties as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned
Who we are looking for
- A four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary institution within construction engineering, occupied safety or a related field of study. Relevant industry experience may substitute
- 2 years of relevant experience; preferably working as a safety professional for a general contractor or in an equivalent role for a major subcontractor
- Strong verbal and written communication and MS Office skills
- OSHA 500 hour certification and qualified trainer status / First Aid/CPR/AED certified is highly preferred
