Traveling Concrete Construction Foreman - $35-40/hour + $805/week per diem

TKO Staffing and TKO Construction Services is a nationally recognized staffing firm supporting clients across the United States. Headquartered in Minnesota, we have employees working in over thirty states and are always looking for new, hardworking employees for our projects.

We are currently interviewing Traveling Concrete Construction Foremen for long-term projects in the upper Midwest to operate various machine tools to manufacture and repair mechanical assemblies. Candidates must have experience with metal spraying and various welding techniques. Pay is $35-40/hour with $805/week in per diem.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Record all data necessary to produce expected service and/ or design results, including sizings and illustrations.
• Ability to read blueprints and communicate with site superintendents to interpret plans for information pertaining to the layout and dimensions
• Excellent problem-solving skills; great at finding solutions and implementing them
• Prioritize work and assign crew members to appropriate job sites and tasks effectively
• Be responsible for planning and arranging for the site to be properly equipped and prepared for the job at hand
• Report project progress to superiors in the form of daily job logs
• Monitor/track and input crew hours daily
• Ensure that the project is staying on or under budget
• Ability to assist in performing a variety of tasks to prepare, execute and finish concrete.
• Making sure all work meets specified quality control guidelines
• Taking pride in the appearance of jobsite, crews and equipment
• Be the liaison between construction workers and supervisors
• Solve disputes between employees in the field
• Train new employees on site
• Able to operate equipment such as Forklifts and Skid steer loaders
• Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear. (especially eye and ear protection).
• Keep work area neat and clean
• Perform other duties as directed

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma, plus some high school, trade school, or vocational/technical school training
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to understand, perform and retain various job-related training and operational and safety procedures demonstrated by supervisor.
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, use fingers, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The ability to read and understand plans to determine correct specifications
• 6 years of experience in the concrete construction field (Labor, Finisher, Carpenter)
• Proven experience in pouring, forming, and finishing foundations, flatwork, and curb and gutter
• Able to communicate professionally to counterparts including owners, GCs, and other subcontractors
• Strong urgency and the ability to communicate and disseminate information to those you lead
• Can effectively run a job safely and assess and implement safety policy
• Proven self-starter and has great organization skills
• Need to obtain ACI Flatwork/Finisher Certification and MNDOT ADA Certification
