Bilingual Accounts Payable/Accounting Assistant Job Description
TOA (USA), LLC
Job Title: Accounts Payable/Accounting Assistant FLSA Status: Salary Non-Exempt
Department: Accounting Classification: Professional
Reports to: Accounting Manager Performs accounting work directly related to business operations
Position Summary: Active role in accounts payable, reconciliations, & month-end processes. Serve as backup to Accounting Manager/Coordinator and Accounts Payable.

Qualifications required:
- 5 years’ accounting experience
- Bilingual-Able to read, write, and speak fluently in Japanese/English
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and other accounting software
Qualifications desired:
- Experience in lean manufacturing environments
- Experience with large volume Accounts Payable
- Experience with software implementation and process improvement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Duties Related to General Ledger
- Reconciliations of Various Accounts – Including Cash and Bank Accounts
- GAAP Accounting
- Month End functions – Including Financial Statements
- Assist with large volume invoice entry
- Vendor/Customer statements
- Improve processes
Non-Essential Functions:
- Perform other duties as assigned

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general public.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is also required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms, see, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus while working at computer.
Work Environment: The office environment noise level is moderate. The plant environment noise level is loud. Although the plant is climate controlled, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. PPE consisting of a hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe shoes and long sleeves must be worn at all times when entering and working in the plant. Gloves must be worn when handling parts. While walking through or working in the plant, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, welding sparks/flash (when entering the welding department), and vibration. Welding jacket must be worn if walking/working in welding department.
