Tobin Family Chiropractic is a well-established Chiropractic Office in North Haven, CT. We serve patients of all ages. We are a single-doctor office and we see patients 3.5 days per week, Mon-Thurs. Our current receptionist will be retiring in June after 8.5 wonderful years in our office. We are seeking our next awesome employee!

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist/Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient service and administrative duties, preferably in a healthcare office setting. As the first point of contact for our patients, the Front Desk Receptionist plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. Insurance billing is uncomplicated and will be taught on the job by the doctor herself.
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department
- Verify insurance information through our online portal, and assist with insurance claims processing
- Collect patient payments and maintain accurate records
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and organizing patient records
- Collaborate with the doctor to ensure efficient workflow
Skills:
- Previous experience in a service industry is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients
- Proficient in using healthcare office software (e.g., ChiroTouch) for scheduling and record keeping is a bonus, but certainly not a requirement. On the job training is provided.
- Knowledge of chirpractic terminology and familiarity with chiropractic care is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Requirements:
Must be able to handle the occasional crabby patient with a smile.
Must be available until 6pm Mon-Thurs. Hours are as follows: MWTh 8:30-12:15 and 2:30-6; Tues 2:30-6.
