What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Liason position at Toledo Lucas County Homelessness Board?
NATURE OF WORK:
The Community Liaison will work closely with, support and report to the Coordinated Entry System Coordinator at the Toledo Lucas County Homelessness Board. The Community Liaison will assist in the setup of a Padmission, a database that identifies available low income housing. Once setup, the Community Liaison will support the CoC by maintaining the database of available housing, and landlord recruitment, and supporting case managers as they add, update and search housing inventory.
COMPETENCIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Assist with setup, implementation and rollout to the community, the new Padmission database.
· Facilitate and support landlord engagement using Padmission including onboarding to the platform, managing property listing and ensuring timely updates.
· Provide technical assistance to landlords and case managers as they implement Padmission.
· Assist in developing reporting, monitoring, and technical assistance procedures.
· Gain hands-on experience in landlord engagement and coordinated entry systems with emphasis on professional development, community impact, and skill-building opportunities.
· Create communication and education tools for internal and external partners.
· Support the Coordinated Entry Systems Coordinator with special events including Point-in-Time count (PIT).
· Participate in local and statewide tenant protection initiatives by attending meetings.
· Engage and communicate with the unhoused community.
ESSENTIAL BEHAVIORS:
Strong communication and organizational skills, along with an ability to work well independently. Ability to be flexible. Able to interpret instructions in written or oral form. Have a strong commitment to community service. Experience with/working knowledge of housing and homelessness issues. Comfortable speaking with professionals related to landlord engagement and facilitating communication among CoC partners and housing providers. Passionate about the AmeriCorps mission.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with diverse populations. Proficiency with office technologies (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point)

Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
