JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary responsibility of this job is to take care of the customer. This Estimator position means, 1. Writing profitable and accurate sheets thoroughly and 2. Setting expectation by walking a customer through a typical repair process by providing regular updates via phone, email, or text. That way, they understand the timeline and procedures for a repair claim. 3. As well as keeping well-documented files of customer communication/updates and insurance events. This job involves writing estimates in CCC1, getting Used, A/M, and OEM parts quotes, selecting the appropriate parts based on the car and insurance requirements, working with the insurance companies by sending up supplements, and verifying payment. This position also works closely with our CSR staff to get authorizations on estimates, supplements, and final bills and schedule customers for estimate appointments and repair dates.
Also, a part of working at Tom's as a team player will include:
- Moving and parking vehicles.
- Driving customers home or to the rental car location in shop vehicle.
- Answering phones.
- Going on test drives.
- Quality Control checking the car.
- Billing out jobs to be delivered.
- Anything else is needed while at work to make sure our customers are happy.

ESTIMATOR REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid California Driver's License
- Preferred five years experience in customer service in the automotive industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills: strong engagement with customers over the phone. Be able to call, email, text professionally and clearly. Be able to have conversations with customers who may be distressed due to the stressful nature of an accident without taking it personally if they are upset or emotional.

- High school or higher-level education
- i-Car certifications/training
- AllDATA experience
