Now Hiring: Personal Injury Legal Assistant
Location: Islip, NY
Salary Range: $50,000.00-$55,000.00
Are you an experienced Legal Assistant looking to join a dynamic plaintiff personal injury law firm? TonaLaw is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to assist our attorneys and paralegals in managing personal injury claims from inception through pre-litigation.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare case abstracts and demand packages
- Request, review, and ensure accuracy of medical records and bills
- Enter and maintain medical information in case management software (SmartAdvocate experience a plus!)
- Scan, organize, and file records in the case management system
- Communicate with clients to track treatment status and updates
- Provide support to attorneys and paralegals on case-related tasks
- Assist with initial phone inquiries from potential clients and insurance carriers
- Conduct in-person case intakes
- Process invoices and handle client authorization mailings
Qualifications
- 3 years of law firm experience in personal injury
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus
- Excellent organization and client communication skills
