Job Summary
This role coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with employees, vendors, buyers, and district directors. The ideal candidate will support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identify and communicate goals and objectives; build accountability for and measure progress in achieving results; identify and address improvement opportunities; and demonstrate adaptability and promote continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Store Performance: Review and evaluate P&L statements; manage and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses to ensure they align with sales.
- Lead Operational Processes: Monitor and ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
- Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Model exceptional customer-centered standards; manage and resolve customer complaints and issues effectively.
- Provide Leadership: Lead the management team; provide feedback, communicate, and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
- Implement Change Efforts: Introduce and lead company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years in the supermarket industry and completion of a management training program.
- Skills: Effective leadership, interpersonal communication, and customer service skills.
- Other: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; strong time management skills; sound judgment/problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to create operating budgets/financial forecasts.
