What will you be doing? As a Desktop Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to end-users, maintaining desktop systems, and ensuring reliable operation across computer systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in resolving issues, managing user accounts, and supporting desktop environments both on-site and remotely. You will contribute to maintaining a secure and efficient computing environment for our intelligence customer.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide direct support for desktop systems by troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure proper system access and security.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and applications. Perform regular system maintenance and updates to optimize performance and security.
- Respond to and resolve user tickets in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Assist with the deployment of new technologies and software, including setup and configuration.
- Document technical solutions and maintain a knowledge base for common issues to facilitate quicker resolutions.
- Work with other IT teams to address complex issues and enhance overall service delivery.
- Provide basic network troubleshooting and support as required.
- Conduct user training sessions on new software or hardware to ensure effective utilization.
