Position Overview:
We are seeking a Bilingual HR Representative to support our Spanish-speaking staff. This role will focus on building trust, offering support, and assisting with HR-related functions, including absence management, payroll, benefits, and more. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to speak, write, and translate documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide HR support primarily to Spanish-speaking staff.
- Assist with absence management, payroll inquiries, benefits enrollment, and general HR-related tasks.
- Build relationships based on trust and empathy, ensuring that staff feel supported.
- Translate documents and communications.
- Ensure a smooth in-person interaction with staff and support day-to-day HR functions in a union environment.
Requirements:
- Bilingual: Must be fluent in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Experience: Prior HR experience required; entry-level candidates will not be considered.
- Experience in a union environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in-person, with a set schedule of 4 days per week at the Amityville office and 1 day per week at the West Babylon office.
- Strong communication skills: Ability to build trust and provide empathetic support in a fast-paced environment.
