What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Team Member, Shipping & Receiving position at Torani?
This warm and engaging team member will be an integral part of our Flavor Factory warehouse team. With a growing business, the Shipping & Receiving team member works within all functions of the warehouse, to ship or receive inbound and outbound deliveries at our fast-paced Flavor Factory. Activities such as driver communication, forklift operation, trailer loading, processing receiving paperwork, coordinating the put-a-way of finished goods, raw materials receiving and packaging, adhering to safety and quality standards will be a part of daily activities, but it does not stop there. Our shipping and receiving team members are also involved with cycle counts and year-end and mid-year physical inventories.

SUCCESS FACTORS (12-18 months)
- Shipping and Receiving Ownership: Thoroughly understands our inbound and outbound capacity to successfully prioritize and plan receiving and put-away activities for all incoming deliveries. Using time efficiently the shipping and receiving team member organizes and coordinates the constant flow of inbound product within delivery time constraints. Leverages prior distribution experience (preferably food and beverage) to load/unload pallets of finished product, supplies, conduct safety inspections and quality checks, and verify actual case/supply counts and lot numbers match the Bill of Lading. A stellar forklift operator, safely moving, organizing, sorting, replenishing products throughout the warehouse. You can move effortlessly from the forklift to pallet jack and are as comfortable loading/unloading curtain vans as you are pallets into a trailer with the correct load patten.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently both verbally and in writing. Operates with a sense of urgency ensuring that others are made aware of pertinent, time-sensitive information using various communication methods. The warehouse Shipping and Receiving team member is a brand ambassador, greeting truck drivers, outbound and inbound partners, and participates in quality audits, speaking confidently to the operational processes that demonstrate quality controls.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrates acute accuracy completing tasks such as, ensuring the right product is loaded/unloaded on every truck as well as all associated documents for the order are complete and Oracle database filing paperwork is maintained. Manages accurate inventory and cycle count controls and can research where variances may have occurred. You are known for a clean, organized work area.
- FIFO/FEFO (First In First Out & First Expired First Out): Lives and breathes FIFO/FEFO and is the go-to-person for inbound quality inspections. Your keen eye for quality allows Torani to maintain our high food safety standards. You rigorously review product slotting via FIFO/FEFO standards to ensure no product is on the verge of expiration or out of rotation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of experience working in a warehousing environment
- 2 years of forklift driver experience
- Intermediate working proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Oracle (preferred)
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic and mathematics
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English for both written and verbal communication
- Ability and willingness to work overtime & weekends
- Experience with WMS (warehouse management systems, utilizing scanner technology and or data entry into desktop)
BASE SALARY RANGE:
$21.25 - 23.25 Hourly
