Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Generalist with a strong focus on recruiting to join our team at a manufacturing facility in Chattanooga. The HR Generalist will play a vital role in talent acquisition and retention, ensuring that our manufacturing facility is staffed with qualified and dedicated individuals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry and possess exceptional recruiting and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies and techniques to attract top talent for our direct labor roles within our manufacturing facility.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop job descriptions and specifications that align with the requirements of the roles.
- Source and screen candidates through various channels, including online job boards, social media platforms, and professional networks.
- Conduct thorough interviews to assess candidates' skills, qualifications, and cultural fit for the organization.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems to track and manage candidate profiles, applications, and hiring process.
- Coordinate and conduct pre-employment background checks, reference checks, and drug screenings as required.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to negotiate and extend job offers to selected candidates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies and other talent sources to ensure a pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Assist in the development and implementation of onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
- Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on best practices for interviewing, selection, and onboarding processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, labor market conditions, and recruitment best practices to ensure competitiveness in attracting top talent.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience
- At least 1 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with a focus on recruiting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, techniques, and tools.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, roles, and requirements.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and other HR software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
