department. This position has supervisory responsibility and/or input for recruitment, hiring,
retention, performance development, performance management and teammate relations. This
position manages an assigned team of Patient Account Representatives. Holds the assigned
team accountable for meeting deadlines and established Company goals. Works in cooperation
with all other clinic departments, Senior Revenue Cycle Management and the Director of
Revenue Cycle Management.
What You Will Be Doing
- Supervise and manage Patient Account Representative Team.
- Management of the multiple revenue cycle processes including patient accounts inquiries, escalated patient concerns, account collections and patient account payment plans.
- Negotiate payment plans with patients and address delinquencies.
- Works with patients via several methods of communication to resolve patient account inquiries, escalated concerns and follow up on accounts until resolution complete.
- Monitors staff efficiency through audit processes.
- Maximize the patient’s experience through strong medical billing knowledge and collection processes.
- Reviews daily, weekly and monthly key metrics to identify trends or areas of focus.
- Supervises, trains, mentors, motivates, orientates and evaluates the performance of teammates.
- Work with others to develop, document, resolve and implement action plans, as appropriate, to address patient account issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patients, teammates and company
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification required.
- Complete knowledge of EOBs and ERAs.
- Medicare, and Commercial Insurance Knowledge.
- 4 years of patient collection and billing process experience with major payers required.
- A minimum of 2 years proven supervisory or management experience in the medical receivables field is preferred.
- Knowledge of mandatory billing and coding requirements, to include knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding requirements.
- Prior Family Medicine and/or Behavioral Health claims knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Experience with electronic claims filing.
- Experience with insurance systems.
- Experience with e Clinical Works is preferred but not required.
- Bilingual in both Spanish and English is preferred but not required.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to work on site, non-remote position.
