What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Baker position at TOUS LES JOURS?
We are looking for a Baker to prepare different types of bread and a wide range of pastries andpies. Baker responsibilities include opening the bakery early in the morning, prepping dough, preparing fillings and glazing pastries. To be successful in this role, you should have work experience as a Baker. Ultimately, you will make sure we offer fresh and delicious goods to our customers on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Oven experience is preferred
- Working Hours (weekday) 5:45a.m.-11am. (weekends) 5:45a.m.-12 or 1 pm
- Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use
- Prepping dough
- Bake different bread types bread and pastry, baguettes and pan breads
- Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
Skills
- Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role(not required)
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Experience with cake decoration techniques
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work in early morning shifts
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus
- lift and carries up to 55lb
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
