The Town of Avon seeks qualified applicants to fill the position of Assistant Director for the Park & Recreation’s Summer Program. Performs duties specific to organizing, planning, and managing the Summer Program and supervising the staff. Works under the direct supervision of the Program Director.
Candidate must enjoy working with children in an outdoor environment and demonstrate excellent communications skills as the position requires considerable interaction with the public. This is a seasonal position from May through August. Position would average about 40 hours a week during the Summer Program which runs from July 7, 2025 through August 15, 2025. This is a temporary, non-union position with no benefits. Candidates should have an associate degree in a related field or higher and two years of progressively responsible experience in a public or physical education environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The pay rate is $25.00 per hour.
