Job Overview
The Town of Bennett is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing civil infrastructure projects that meet the needs of our growing community.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and develop proposals for annexation, site planning, plats, subdivision plans, landscape plans, trail plans, grading plans, utility plans, roadway plans, and other land use applications.
- Interpret and apply Town policies, procedures, laws, and regulations relating to assigned activities.
- Provide technical support to other staff members, contractors, developers, and the public; research files and/or maps upon request from walk-in citizens and developers.
- Issue infrastructure, right-of-way, floodplain development, and stormwater quality permits.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience and/or training involving civil engineering, design plan review, project management, land surveying, construction inspection, and/or any other related field.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) with the Colorado State Board of Professional Engineers or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
