What are the responsibilities and job description for the Planning Intern - Summer Seasonal position at Town of Breckenridge?
Work will include site visits, documentation, educating the public with one-on-one meetings, drafting reports and memorandums, various administrative tasks, and assisting with community-wide Dark Sky educational events. Work is to be carried out with a high degree of independent action and judgment in required timeframes. The incumbent in this position will interact with the general public frequently to conduct site inspections and inform them of planning regulations and procedures.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma required.
- Must be currently enrolled in a Planning degree program or a closely related field.
- To qualify for this position, the candidate must pass a criminal background check with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
- A valid Colorado Driver's License or the ability to obtain at time of hire is required.
WORK SCHEDULE:
The typical work schedule for this role is Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for up to 40 hours per week with some potential for flexibility at the discretion of management. The incumbent in this role must be flexible in terms of availability, and may be asked on occasion to work outside of these hours for events or as deemed necessary by management.
