What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Guest Services Attendant position at Town of Breckenridge?
The individual in this position is responsible for providing excellent guest service; greeting guests; conducting memberships, pass and pro-shop sales; light custodial duties; and providing information and explanation of services and programs offered by the Recreation Department. This position performs cash handling duties and conducts transactions with a computerized point-of-sale system, and also coordinates equipment needs, performs facility checks, and handles facility reservations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have received a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have one (1) or more years of customer service experience.
- Must have one (1) or more years of cash handling experience.
- Must be able to work Wednesday or Thursday evenings.
- To qualify for this position, the candidate or employee must pass a criminal background check.
- Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications are required within 60 days of hire.
- Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) required within 60 days of hire.
- Two (2) or more years of customer service experience in cash handling and/or customer service experience in the recreation or hospitality industry preferred.
WORK SCHEDULE
Primary shifts for this position generally include days, nights, weekends and holidays, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., and a typical schedule of 10 to 20 hours per week, with additional hours as needed. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability; and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
