You’ll oversee camp operations, supervise staff, and plan exciting activities for kids, all while ensuring a positive environment where kids can learn, grow, and have fun.
What You'll Do:
- Supervise camp participants and counselors during all activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Plan and organize special events for each camp session.
- Serve as the main point of contact between parents, counselors, and the Aquatics Department.
- Greet campers and parents, helping everyone adjust to the camp experience.
- Model enthusiasm and encourage full participation in activities.
- Monitor the health and safety of campers, addressing any issues and notifying the Program Supervisor.
- Keep accurate attendance records and report absences.
- Address rule violations and ensure a positive camp environment.
- Collaborate with counselors and staff, providing guidance and support.
- Use camp tools and equipment to facilitate activities and ensure smooth operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required (college coursework in education, arts, or recreation is a plus)
- Previous supervisory or camp leadership experience strongly preferred
- Experience working at a summer camp is highly desirable
- American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to remain patient, flexible, and enthusiastic in a variety of situations
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safe, fun, and inclusive camp experience for all participants
