Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Seasonal Summer Camp Group Leader to oversee and facilitate engaging activities for children in a camp setting. The Summer Camp Group Leader will be responsible for creating a safe, fun, and educational environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of campers. This role requires strong leadership skills, creativity, and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with both campers and staff.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement daily activities that align with the camp's objectives, ensuring they are age-appropriate and engaging.
- Supervise campers during all activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging teamwork, respect, and inclusivity among campers.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of camper attendance, incidents, and any necessary reports.
- Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate special events or programs throughout the camp season.
- Provide first aid as needed and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
Skills
- Knowledge of first aid practices to ensure the health and safety of campers.
- Understanding of childhood development principles to effectively support campers' growth.
- Skills in babysitting or caring for children in various settings are advantageous.
- Creative talents in theater or arts can enhance program offerings.
