This position includes all of Guest Service Operations which includes Guest Service (Front Desk), KidStation (Childcare), Fitness Area, Concessions, Coal Creek Caf and Ice Rink; and performs related work as required.
All staff are expected to adhere to the Town's mission, vision, and values of TRUE.

- We are currently looking for candidates who have availability early mornings for facility opening, evenings for facility closing and weekends (Saturdays & Sundays); shift times TBD based on availability

Knowledge of : To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills and must possess expert knowledge of the principles, practices, trends and methods of recreational aquatics operations and programming in a community setting. Knowledge of guidelines and regulations related to Department, Town, County, State, and Federal policies and procedures also required.
Skills in : Initiative and decision-making; verbal and written communication; supervision, leadership, and interpersonal relationships; basic financial methods of recreational programming; outstanding customer service to a diverse population; administrative functions; time management, meeting deadlines, responding to internal and external requests in a timely manner; the use of standard office equipment, computers, and various software programs; positive and professional working relationships with all Town staff and the community; conflict resolution; handling controversial issues; comprehending instruction, correspondence, and policies and procedures; problem solving; remaining composed in emergency situations and working effectively under stressful circumstances; performing CPR, First Aid, and AED to level of certification.
Environmental Factors :
Depending on the position / assignment, the employee may work indoors behind a desk / at a computer, indoors on the fitness floor, indoors and outdoors in the KidStation, and / or outdoors or in the Concessions / Caf area near the ball fields. Some environments are heat / cool regulated environments, but depending on work assignment and location, exposure to elements and various weather conditions may occur. Work will take place in a recreation center environment which may be noisy, and the overall environment is very active with a variety of activities in progress and people going various places throughout the facility most of the time. Employee will use various cleaning products throughout their shifts.
Physical Factors :
Some repetitive motion activities such as typing will be required for all Recreation Attendant II Guest Service Operations staff. All staff may also be required to use a computer at times. If working the front desk, employee will typically spend approximately 2-3 hours per day sitting, an hour standing in one place, and an hour walking. Front desk staff will rarely need to bend over, lift or reach for objects, and / or push or pull objects but will need to be able to use a computer for various tasks (more computer use in this role than in others included in this job description). If working the KidStation, Fitness, Concessions, or Ice Rink, less than one hour per day will be spent sitting and the majority of time will be spent either standing in one general location or walking. Employees working the KidStation, Fitness, Concessions, or Ice Rink will need to lift or bend down to pick up objects, equipment, children, or for restocking and / or cleaning purposes approximately 5-7 times per hour. Weight of object needing lifted or moved is approximately 25-50 lbs. on average. Employees working in the KidStation, Fitness, Concessions, or Ice Rink areas will also need to be able to reach at all levels within body distance 3-5 times per hour on average. The ability to navigate through various environments, around objects, and over various types of surfaces will be necessary for all staff, as will the ability to receive communications and communicate with others.
