What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Baseball/Softball Coach position at Town of Normal?
The position will be responsible for supervising/coaching youth in a team setting. Teams will practice twice per week (M/W or T/Th) with games played on Saturday mornings. The season will begin the first week of June and run until late July.
Examples of Work Performed:
-Develop weekly practice plans
-Instructing groups of children (Ages 5-8)
-Communicating information to parents on a regular basis
-Enforcing program rules
-Care of supplies and equipment
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Must have knowledge of the sport of baseball/softball
-Must be able to demonstrate proper techniques to participants
-Must enjoy working with young children
-Must be outgoing and able to lead
