Pay Range: Level 7; Step 1-11; $15.67-23.63

Reports to: Historical Commission Chair

Date: January 24, 2025


JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

Under the direction of the Chair of the Historical Commission. Provides support to the Historical Commission.


Responsibilities

Historical Clerk duties:

  • General office duties
  • Operation of standard office equipment
  • Recordkeeping

Preparation of meeting packets and agenda

  • Record and produce an accurate copy of meeting minutes to the chair in a timely manner.
  • Attendance required at all evening meetings. Typically held at 4 pm on the third Monday of each month. (certain cases may require more than one per month)
  • All other duties as required.


Supervisory Responsibility

None.


Work Environment
:

Work is performed generally at home typing up meeting minutes.


Physical Demands:

Typing on the computers.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Part time

Plan to arrive 5 minutes before the meeting begins in preparation to record meeting minutes.

None


Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in office environment.
  • Experience as a committee clerk desired, not required.
