The Town of Wellfleet seeks a part-time Seasonal Deputy Shellfish Constable to work 25 scheduled hours per week for the Recreation Fishery from May 13, 2025-June 30, 2025.
The Deputy Shellfish Constable will be responsible for law enforcement duties with regard only to the recreational shellfishery to protect and manage the Town’s natural resources in the Indian Neck Recreational Only area. The primary area of responsibility is to patrol and monitor the recreational shellfishery to capture catch data, implementing enforcement, when necessary, providing public education and outreach, and writing and distributing communications, and citations when necessary, to recreational shellfishing permit holders.
