Who we're looking for

Toyota's Final Assembly Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Assembly Seibi Technician.

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical/skilled support to Assembly Engineers for plant Equipment projects.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager the person in this role will support the Final Assembly Production Engineering department's objective to provide high quality, low cost and reliable plant Equipment and control systems.




What you'll be doing
  • Confirm equipment meets Assembly requirement for Safety, Quality, Operation and Maintainability.
  • Provide skilled support for project work to FAE (Final Assembly Engineering) Assembly Equipment Engineers.
  • Provide NAMC Team Member training – Maintenance, Production and Engineering.
  • Review, confirm and update drawings to support change points.
  • Investigate performance issues, determine root cause and develop permanent countermeasures.
  • Implement PLC modification on new and existing systems that integrate to Assembly Equipment.

What you bring

  • High School Diploma (or higher)
  • Experience programming/troubleshooting Toyopuc and Allen Bradley PLC's.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and set up of PLC's, Quality Networks, Pokayokes, Electrical circuits, and controls.
  • Toyota manufacturing facility and maintenance experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to support all NAMC's.
  • Ability to work overtime up to 20% when required.
  • This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that's acceptable by company standards is required for this position.


Added bonus if you have:
  • 2-year technical degree or completion of trade school program (EET or Industrial Maintenance Technology).
  • Current Assembly Seibi experience.
