Our client, a major fishing and seafood processing company, is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk for their Bridgeton, NJ area facility. This position will serve as the first point of contact for delivery and shipping drivers, interfacing with customers on inventory needs, recalls, and possible issues, while developing and managing proper inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, count and log cash received by carriers.
• Coordinate with warehouse and transportation to make sure shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and on-time.
• Notify carriers and key team members of pending, no shows and/or unscheduled arrivals.
• Engage with drivers and reschedule appointments if necessary.
• Enter data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Keep inventory, purchasing, shipping and other records.
• Prepare daily reports including analysis of production and shipping.
• Direct and coordinate physical inventory, including auditing and monitoring cycle counts.
• Look into damages, inventory adjustments, and shrink issues.
• Develop and manage proper inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Interface with customers on inventory needs, recalls, and possible issues.
• Review inventory reports to resolve unused items and recommend appropriate action for excess or damaged stock.
• Partner with Inventory and Operations to research inventory discrepancies and misplacements.

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• The ability to interact with customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
• Basic math skills may be required at some facilities.
