A seasoned leader is sought to spearhead the GIPS Complaint Performance Measurement Platform at a prominent Fintech and services company.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent review of performance results across various levels, including securities, segments, and total portfolios on a monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis, managing a team dedicated to this task.
- Foster communication with departments/groups and Investment analysts regarding outlier validity at the security, segment, and total portfolio level.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Investment Performance professionals.
- Engage with clients to address questions and offer enhanced solutions as needed.
- Recommend best practices for data quality and share information on existing issues impacting investment performance results.
- Ensure Investment Performance Analysts calculate turnover and Internal Rate of Return for a single portfolio or aggregation of portfolios on a monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis.
- Oversee the monthly reconciliation of cash variances.
- Assist the Investment Performance team in creating, updating, and reviewing indices/benchmarks on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Monitor the team's calculation and validation of risk statistics, such as standard deviation and Sharpe ratio, and calculation of investment multiples on an ad hoc basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Ten years of experience, including some in a leadership role, in Performance Measurement and Analytics at a large or medium-sized organization, with a strong understanding of return calculation methodologies and performance measurement reporting.
- Two years of experience in fund accounting preferred.
- Strong communication and team-building skills.
- Good understanding of corporate actions, security pricing, and accounting general ledgers.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical and critical thinking, employing logic, math, and statistics.
- Familiarity with other performance measurement platforms.
