Job Summary:
The Administrative Secretary will provide high-level administrative support to the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). This role involves handling a wide range of administrative and executive support tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain executives' schedules and appointments
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations
  • Organize and coordinate meetings and events
  • Handle confidential information with discretion
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Order office supplies and manage inventory
  • Provide general support to visitors

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an administrative secretary or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in MS Office and office management software
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
